I sowed some rainbow chard several weeks ago and it's still bizarrely tiny and NOT doing well. Might seek out some plug plants. Meanwhile, I started kale seedlings (Red Russian and Cavolo Nero) indoors, and they're looking *very* spindly and leggy - not quite sure why. I am considering putting these out this week, planting them deeply to prop up their spindly stems - but would I be better off seeking plug plants? Not sure these seedlings are going to perform well, even assuming they don't get munched by the Slug Apocalpyse straight away...Bangalore Flowers

Thaks for the compliments guys, nice to hear from people! I'd say if you plant the seedlings nice and deep they should be happy eventually.
