End of August

Spring officially begins in September but it's definitely on it's way here already, buds are popping and there is a feeling of promise in the air :)

The shy cauliflowers have revealed themselves, lovely and pure white from hiding under their curving protective leaves. The tender stem broccoli are coming into their stride with daily picking of the tenderest bits. The blood and bone and sulphate of potash mix that I have been spreading about has made a noticeable difference.

The plum tree is showing hints of white as the forest pansy is promising pink.
