The great carrot harvest of 2013

Their day was due, and out they came, huge monsters of the deep, carrots of serious manly proportions. And a few lesser ones for good measure.

Spent a happy hour or so trimming the beards and dried stalks from the garlic that has been drying out in the shed and now the can be stored at the bottom of the pantry in a basket in the dark.

Have planted some lettuces and the beetroot and beans are growing well. Been eating some truss tomatoes sliced on toast with black pepper as well as the little ones in a salad or two.
